Gerrit Holl is seeking Dutch speaking volunteers to help with his Dutch Linux gaming site. Gerrit says:

The Dutch Linux gaming site is the center for everything about games on Linux in Dutch. You can go there is you need howtos, reviews, links or
news, and more follows. I wished it become greater, but it's too much for one person who also has to go to school. So I _really_ need Dutch speaking people to help me: please have a look at linuxgames.nl.linux.org and decide if you're interested. You can also send a mail to linuxgames@nl.linux.org.

Description: X11Spy is a program built for X Windows
running on a Linux system to ping Quake3 servers and will launch the game as well. X11Spy requires GTK and Qstat to run (plus Q3Test). This program is in a very beginning stage. I will be adding quite a few more features in the future.

Daryll Strauss has updated his Voodoo 3/Banshee driver page to include an intial release of Glide for these chipsets! If you've got a Voodoo Banshee or a Voodoo 3 card and you're feeling adventurous, go check them out. Remember, this is the first release and only full screen 3D is supported so far. Expect bugs and instability. However, Daryll does note that the drivers appear to run Q3Test correctly. The 3dfx newsgroup is the proper place to go for help with these drivers. But read all the available documentation before you ask for help, ok? |

After a months long hiatus, there are once again signs of life over at the BlackHoleSun Software website. No doubt they've sequestered themselves in order to put the finishing touches on their upcoming commercial 3D post-apocalypse auto-duel game Millennium Madness: Roads of Destruction.

There's a slew of new screenshots of the game up, and some talk about the upcoming (closed) beta test. Also, if you're gonna be at Linux Expo next week, it sounds like you may have a chance to catch a preview there. Finally, BlackHoleSun says they'll begin taking pre-orders for the game in June. |
