ACM: Air Combat Simulation |
ACM is a LAN-oriented, multiplayer aerial combat simulation. The main design objective was to provide source code that could be easily compiled and
executed on a wide variety of platforms.
To that end, acm is written entirely
in C, exploiting the programming features of Unix, X11, and the BSD socket interface. A Windows/95 version is also available.
Players engage in air to air combat against one another using heat seeking
missiles and cannons.
ACM is implemented as a distributed simulation. It communicates information
via the IEEE Distributed Interactive Simulation protocol (IEEE 1278.1-1994).
This should allow ACM to interoperate with other simulations that support that
protocol.

Mod of UT2K4 that adds realistic weapons, better damage simulation, new gameplay |
Description on the Homepage:

Action Unreal Tournament is a modification of Unreal Tournament 2004 that adds realistic weapons, better damage simulation, new gameplay, and bags of action-movie style.

Ever watched a John Woo flick and said 'I wish I could do that' as a guy dived down the stairs, akimbo pistols blazing?

Now you can. And why watch a movie when you can play it?

For those with a history of action games, AUT is the followup to the successful Action Quake2 and Action Half-Life; we hope to continue the tradition of fun gameplay, innovative features and consistent quality. It's based around concepts incorporated into the unreleased version developed for Unreal Tournament.

AUT is going to take the things we've learned from Action Quake 2, Action Half-Life and our development in the Unreal engine and combine them into one fast moving action packed extravaganza.

1.1.0 |
First person space shooter in four spatial dimensions |

Adanaxis is the first of a new type of space game, where the fundamentals of space itself are changed. By adding another dimension to space this game provides an environment like no other. Initially it's like learning to play a 3D FPS for the first time, as the hand and eye have to learn a whole new type of coordination. Soon it becomes second nature, and you're rapidly blowing things out of the sky. The game includes an assortment of enemies, allies, weapons and power ups, and commercially sourced graphics, audio and voice acting add a little extra. The three-level game demo is now downloadable as binary packages for various Linux distros.
|

0.0.1 |
Space shooter in four spatial dimensions |

This is an early demo of a shoot-em-up with four dimensions. It's a long way from a full game, and there's only a simple wireframe renderer, but it is playable. You can move around, shoot things and they will blow up, all in four spatial dimensions. Colour is used to handle the extra dimension. To aim in 4D, once the target is in the centre of the screen, hold the mouse button down and move the mouse left to right until the target is white. The press the space bar to fire, and you're away. There's a fish-eye scanner (Tab key) if you get lost. The - and = keys change display resolution.
|

Additive Board involving addition and subtraction |
Two players ("red" and "green" take their turns on a 6x6 board. In the beginning the board is empty except for a red "1" in the upper left and a green "1" in the lower right.

Making a turn means setting one field of the board. Setting a field makes it assume the sum of the points of the 8 surrounding fields.
But there is a catch: If the field is of the opponent's color, their score is subtracted rather than added. If the resulting score is positive, the field will get your color, else your opponent's color. The same happens to the global score, which is just a colored difference of the score of all fields on the board. If the score in the end is red, red wins. If it is green, green wins. If it is black (0), it is a draw. |

ADIC (any door is closed) is a cooperative multiplayer networked game. The goal is to lock all players of the other teams. The rules are simple the style is 80's - and it is fun to play ;-)
Beside of playing the game you can also use it as testbed for AI/robotics algorithms. |
