Penguin Command games 3821 Penguin Command Penguin Command was everything I hoped it would be, and more. The graphics are very well done, the gameplay is smooth, and the game is pleasantly addictive. I can give this game no less than 5 stars. 2000-07-20 19:32:42 0
Blackbox games 3821 Blackbox This is a very addictive logic game! The graphics are mediocre, but the interface is intuitive and easy to manipulate. This game is a keeper! 2000-07-20 20:26:07 0
Search And Rescue games -1 Search And Rescue From authors: As stated in the README, the game is schedualed to be free after the alpha release. As of beta release 0.2, Search and Rescue is GPL and as thus redistribution is allowed. If you have any further questions you may contact the authors, see http://wolfpack.twu.net/contacts.html 2000-07-20 22:28:44 0
Raptor - Call of the Shadows games -1 Raptor - Call of the Does this game support joystick in Linux? In the game configuration menu it lets you choose between keyboard/mouse/joystick, but only the first two choices seem to work... 2000-07-22 13:26:16 0
Space Plumber games 116 Space Plumber this game is very good when you consider the time period it was written (1997). During this period, excelerated graphics cards weren't popular with people, and there wasn't much around in the way of graphics API's. When comparing oranges to oranges, this game would have been a quantum leap if you put it next to the games of the day (xgalaxa, xevil). alot of effort went into it. it's worth a look. 2000-07-23 00:44:44 0
glTron games 3887 glTron Cool gfx, cool music, cool game :-) 2000-07-23 09:49:24 0
Raptor - Call of the Shadows games -1 Raptor - Call of the I <i>loved<i> this game back in the DOS days! I hope more SW authors/dist groups start porting these old gems to Linux as there are tons of great titles which could be ported. Xquest and the original Terminal Velocity quickly come to mind... Network support over the Internet would be relatively easy to add if they feel up to it. <p>Porting wouldn't take too much effort on their part, certainly not as much as developing the game. It would allow them to continue to be enjoyed (and registered, hint hint...) even after most MS users are using Windows M.E. and can't run those DOS apps anymore - give 'em a reason to keep a Linux box around :-) 2000-07-23 14:06:19 0

Raptor - Call of the Shadows games 3722 Raptor - Call of the $12 ... $12 ... You have to be joking! $12! What a bargain! This is the best arcade game I have ever played. Back in the day my friend only had the shareware version, I made up for his error today and bought the full version. I know that we would all like everything to be released under GNU, but I tell you this is the best $12 I have ever spent! I would give it SIX STARS if I could. Spot on, arcade brilliance! 2000-07-24 07:10:18 0
Descent 3 games -1 Descent 3 This will probably come out sounding worse than I mean it to. I remember hearing about one guy working on a Linux port of Descent 3 and I thought to myself "GREAT!! soon I will be able to download the Linux binaries and I will be able to play my current copy which I paid 50 some odd dollars for on my Linux box" One less reason to boot into Windows. Well time passed and it seemed development ceased. Then Loki games "which I have the utmost respect for" came around and said they are working on it and it will be available for purchase. This busted my preverbal bubble to say the least. I thought the game was way to old "as far as games go" to be resold. It just seemed ridiculous but hey I guess I was spoiled by the side by side release of Q3 and the free binary download for Unreal Tournament. Well if you donate own it buy it it's a good game. 2000-07-24 15:08:11 0
