<p>This story began long time ago. Far away at the land of Three Kingdoms of the Lonesome sea.
The Knights of a Light Order were the guards of the Kingdoms and they lived on a big island. They spent happily and peacefully not much time. Sultan the Cruel decided to seize Three Kingdoms of the Lonesome Sea. The time has come for the fearless and valorous Knights of Light to defend their native lands. After six months of siege and fierce combats against the fleet and army of Sultan, the Knights' force has came to the end. Many and many brave knights perished during the bloody battles. Knights just had no other way out than to ask for help a great Magician of the Third Kingdom. He promised to help them by creating new Immortal Knights. Magician went to his old shanty... We'd better hurry up to see what he is going to do there.</p>
<p>Welcome to the Medieval century. Challenge your skills and accuracy. Save Three Kingdoms and help the Spelled Knights of Light.</p>

Sphere provides a complete IDE and a runtime engine to build simple to semicomplex 2d games. The games you create with it are directly portable to windows without any modifications (there is a windows runtime). It has a simple point and click like interface for creating the game content, and generally, it's one of the first game makers for linux. It's wxEditor is being ported, there are some bugs, but it should be useable. I'm looking for people to beta test it together with me so we can file the final bugs and get 1.0 for linux ready. I hope you enjoy sphere!

the former two can be downloaded from the website. sdl is available from www.libsdl.org and wxWidgets from www.wxwidgets.org. Make sure you get the gtk+ runtime version of wxWidgets. |

Sphere is a tool for making games with a few clicks and a few (Java) Scripts. The games can be made with the editor in Windows, or using the wxEditor for linux that is still in beta. The windows version of Sphere supports different graphics drivers such as OpenGL, GDI, or DirectX. For Linux, it uses SDL and supports a few minor settings. Sphere has been developed for years, to be precise, since 1997. The source code has since grown to 253 830 lines in over 1000 files (243 lines per file avg. if you're a nerd), and the main author (Chad Austin) has also written 2 additional libraries from scratch that have been embedded in Sphere.
Don't waste time coding a 2d engine, use Sphere!
Note: You need to build from CVS to get the engine running for linux. You can get live support on irc @ esper.net/#sphere. First RTFM though. |

<p>In this fast-paced, colorful and very psychedelic game, you fly a ship in a small area of space. Your goal is to kill everything that moves and survive. You will encounter many different objects, that all has different behaviours in killing you and when killed. Most of them will subdivide in to many smaller objects. You can find different weapons and accessories to help on your way. The game experience just can't be explained, it has to be experienced. Even if the graphics are quite simple you will be amazed. The sound-effects are great too. Just but your brains on the shelf, relax and get ready to be hypnotized by this wonderful game! |

<p>Abu decides to try his luck in the spice game. He has to prevent the European countries from gaining a trade monopoly. Will Abu be able to beat out the Europeans in the spice trade? Could Europe have been different?<br>
How? You decide!</p>
<p>Spice Trade is an adventure game, where you play the part of Abu, a poor spice farmer. You start of in the 12th century Baghdad and can go from there to explore the world, make pacts with the devil or saints, hunt for treasures and many more things.</p>
<p>The game has beautiful graphics, taken partly from 12th centuryish miniature paintings and an original sound track of over an hour long.</p> |
