LodeRunner makes an appearance post-y2k. All the brick-digging fun you remember |
PyRunner is a very simple game in which the player runs around a small world (level) trying to collect all of the treasure, while at the same time avoiding the enemy guards defending it. To get the treasure, you will have to climb ladders, swing across bars, and dig through brick floors.
Neither the player nor the guards have weapons, but the player's ability to instantly dig away the floor on either side acts as both a defence and offence. When the floor is dug, enemies fall through to lower floors or become trapped trapped if the floor is thick. The floor will regenerate after a few seconds, killing anyone trapped there. The player can also fall in the same holes and be killed, though! |

1.0-Beta2 |
high-level 3D game engine for Python |
<p>PySoy is a 3D game engine written as a Python module. It has tightly integrated physics support (motion, collision detection, joints, etc), a threaded render cycle for high FPS, an intuitive API, and other features too numerous to list.
<p>This version (1.0 Beta-2) is the first to include native support for Microsoft Windows. Just like it's Linux/X11 counterpart this port supports multiple windows, splash windows, fullscreen mode, and the same intuitive API to setup, access, and control from Python.
<p>Also new in this version is the start of the new programmable controller system which will greatly reduce the latency between input and action while leaving Python free to focus on higher level tasks.
<p>While the engine is still incomplete and under heavy development it's already usable for basic games. It's free software available under the GPLv3. |
