Unreal Tournament games -1 Unreal Tournament AWESOME!! Game - Install has much to be desired. New users to Linux will suffer greatly trying to install and run this game. I spent 12 hours trying to find information on the net regarding the fowled up default.ini included in the tarball - 5 hours spent troubleshooting to the Default.ini - after completing the troubleshooting of the botched install i was rewarded by awesome gameplay and formible internet oponents. In summary - If you don't know Linux or Unix - good luck! Windows users stay with this game in windows until the Linux install script is rebuit properly. 2000-01-18 02:24:32 0

Unreal Tournament games -1 Unreal Tournament Great. Now how about openGL support for those of us who don't want to waste money on a new card just to play UT 2000-01-19 14:36:03 0
Quake 3 Arena games -1 Quake 3 Arena Awesome stuff. I have one question: can this be used to run the retail version if you have it for windows? 2000-03-17 16:16:08 0
Civilization: Call To Power games 660 Civilization: Call T Civilization CTP is quite possibly the most addictive game that I have played since Sim City 3000. It is most definately worth all five, yes count them, five stars above. That withstanding, though, there are a few problems/lackings of the game.<BR><BR> <li>Units have no autonomy: Individual units such as the spy plane or wormhole probe are unable to perform their missions without step-by-step directions. I wanted to be able to have my spy plane fly over the whole world and thus reveal the entire map to me. However, every time that it flew near a city, it would stop. At the same time, I would like an option to have it map the whole world with the click of a single button. Similar with the wormhole probe, have it find the wormhole on its own and let me know when its found it</li> <li>The longer that you play the game (1.0 version) the more sluggish it gets. </li> <li>Full screen movies are not full screen. They are still about 320x240, but fill the rest of the screen with a black box. So while there is no window, the movie also does not <i>fill</i> the whole screen.</li> <li>The option to install the game leaving the movies on the CD.</li> <li>Make the install script executable off of the CD so that you do not need to execute "sh /mnt/cdrom/install.sh" but instead could use the lazy windows style point and click in a file manager.</li> <li>An explenation of how to use the paradrop/swarm special attack needs to be included somewhere. It took me a while to figure out how to use it.</li><BR><BR> All in all, though, this is a great game. Like I said, there are some things that would be nice if they were added, but I guess that's what sequals are for!<BR><BR> Falrick 2000-01-20 13:36:53 0
TRONtium games 1858 TRONtium How can ANY true Linux user release a game that runs under SVGA (read: must be run as root) and NOT release the source code? <P> It's just plain ridiculous. The whole reason why Linux users don't have to worry about viruses is because we (supposedly) don't use root for day to day usage, which includes but is not limited to, playing games! 2000-01-20 22:33:44 0
Sabre games 3048 Sabre Not quite Microprose, but not bad for 2100K. Graphics and playability are worth a look 2000-01-21 10:21:24 0
D2X games -1 D2X the code is screwed.... maybe those clowns will fix it soon!!! lordcool@hotmail.com 2000-01-21 14:26:31 0
