A portable, LGPL game development library. |
The contents of PLIB are:
<ul>
<li>GUI Widgets - A fully portable GUI interface that needs only OpenGL and C++.
<li>Sound/Music Replay - A fully portable Audio driver suited to C++, GLUT and realtime applications that need low latency.
<li>Matrix/Vector math - A set of matrix and vector math functions that was specifically written to simplify the writing of efficient OpenGL programs. You need to include this code into any SSG applications.
<li>Scene Graph - A scene graph library layered on top of OpenGL.
<li>Joystick - Supports more Joysticks with more axes and buttons than GLUT.
<li>Fonts/Text - Supports text output in OpenGL using texture mapped fonts. These are much faster to render than GLUT's fonts.
<li>Utilities - A simple portability library to hide basic operating system incompatibilities. UL is still in very early development.
<li>Scene Graph Auxiliary - Additional functionality layered onto SSG - not every SSG program will need these but they can perhaps save you some effort.
<li> C-like Scripting language - an efficient script execution environment that's designed to allow more control of the scripts execution by the application.
<li> A simple windowing library.
</ul>
These components work identically under all flavors of Win32 (WinNT, Win95 and Win98), MacOS, OS-X, BeOS, Linux, BSD and a number of other UNIX systems.
<p>
One major feature of PLIB is it's lack of external dependancies. Games can depend solely on PLIB and OpenGL - which make installation very much easier for you end-users. |

<p>Plight of The Weedunks is a two-player co-operative puzzle-platformer, where you take control over Kohi and Grando - two defective products in a bio-engineered world gone mad - and have to escape the factory alive, before being mulched and re-processed.<br />
The game was created in ten weeks during the 2008 Dare to be Digital competition by Team Caffeine.<br />The Linux build was done by Steven Campbell ( stuckieGAMEZ ) in his spare time during the competition.</p> |

A simple puzzle game |
Plonx is a small puzzle game, where you'll have to avoid bombs and collect points.
<p>
You control the white @-sign. The red asterisks are bombs. You'll have to collect the green numbers, while avoiding the bombs, the upper and lower edges of the map, and the blue trail you leave behind. The left and right edges of the map wrap around. You'll move 1-6 spaces forward, depending on what number you first pick up on that move. |

poker3d is a poker server and client. The client shows poker players in a 3D scene, animated according to the state of the game. Up to ten players can play hands of Texas Hold'em, Stud 7, Omaha, or Omaha8. Single and multi-table sit-and-go tournaments are automatically spawned. The client may play up to 4 games simultaneously. An accelerated 3D card is recommended to run the client.
