1746 Koules games 2752 Koules only 3 things pop into my mind: addictive, RSI, and simply great! Where's the Boss-key? (only 4 stars instead of 5 due to the RSI-risk ;-) 1999-12-02 06:29:12 0
1747 XBlast games 2753 XBlast I played this game 6 years ago and it is still GOOD! Networking through X really sucks though... 1999-12-02 06:37:26 0
1748 Defendguin games 1858 Defendguin a number of things: first is the use of sound, which is guarenteed to catch everybody's attention. the sound effects are chosen superbly. they really highlight what's going on in the game. second is the novelty; flying borg-bills and walking penguins help make the game more interesting than the original. third, is if you ever wanted to program games, this is a good object lesson in sdl. fourth, no tweaking with the makefile or source is required; it compiled 'straight out of the box'. very well done. overall, it looks professional, plays well, is enjoyable and impressive. 5 stars. 1999-12-02 14:02:07 0
1749 Unreal Tournament games -1 Unreal Tournament I'm having the opposite experience from everyone in this forum. The new install program worked just dandy (I already had libglade and libxml). But when I try to run it, it pops up a window, gobbles up 120MB of memory and then sits there.
I have tried running it fullscreen and windowed. I'm using RedHat 6.0, which was apparently the development platform for this version. Voodoo3 3000.
My only nonstandard issue is that I do not have a sound card configured. The README says to give it the -nosound parameter, which I did.
Anyone else seen this? Fixed it? 1999-12-02 14:38:20 0
1750 Triangulate games 1858 Triangulate the download link on happypenguin is broken so i went to the homepage to download. apparently, the compressed file is corrupted because i keep getting "unexpected end of archive" errors, and i tried downloading it twice now. 1999-12-02 15:15:59 0
1751 Unreal Tournament games 2738 Unreal Tournament The installer is a rather large problem under most circumstances.... and if you're luckey enough to get it to intall... you get screwed with non-functioning mice... this is one game that could use a little more work for the linux version (works nice under windoze though) 1999-12-02 16:49:20 0
1752 Freeciv games 2717 Freeciv If you don't have to log in, then people can vote many times. But if you HAVE TO log in, then only people who feel strongly one way or the other will vote. So you will get a lot of very hight and very low scores... 1999-12-03 05:45:10 0
1753 Adonthell games 2017 Adonthell Looks very promising this! All Lord o da Rings fans out there, keep close to this one! Greetz, Airhead Zoom PS no rating yet because there's no game yet. But the idea gets 4 stars. 1999-12-03 07:28:52 0
1754 XKobo games 2761 XKobo An original and strangely addictive shoot-em-up with cute graphics in the style of 80's arcade games. The only drawback is the size of the window -- it's pretty small. 1999-12-03 15:12:44 0
1755 Rocks 'n' Diamonds games 2761 Rocks 'n' Diamonds Probably the best version of Boulderdash etc. for Linux/Unix. If you download the extra level packs there are over *10000* levels! 1999-12-03 15:20:34 0
