An accurate NES emulator |
<p>NEStopia Linux is the port of a Famicom/Nintendo Entertainment System emulator that strives for the most accurate emulation possible.<br />
<br />
It has a GUI in GTK+ for configuration that understands drag and drop from file managers and can extract supported files from zip or 7zip. It supports savestates, film recordings and can "Rewind" the game per backspace if you are too clumsy to press the right button, then hit to try again. |

NEStra is a Nintendo Entertainment System emulator for X, with no sound. |
Nestra is a dynamic recompiler which translates 6502 code into native code
to emulate a NES. Execution of the translated code is quite fast, and the
emulator can run at full speed with relatively modest CPU requirements. The current version only support X11 displays, and no sound support. |

a puzzle bobble like with a lot of exciting features |
The object of the game is to link up more than 2 similar coloured balls together in order to remove them from the screen. In net-bubble, you get 2 major different game-play modes.
The first mode is the standard one-player puzzle mode where you just have to pop all the bubbles to move onto the next stage.
If they cross the limit, you're toast, so try to pop as many bubbles as you can.
In this game mode, there are 30 rounds to complete.
The second mode is the battle mode where the screen is split in half so that you can play against another human player or against CPU.
In this mode, you have to be careful because when you burst bubbles, some are added on your opponent's screen and vice versa. The first person that lets the bubble cross the limit at the bottom looses!
Note that this mode can be played locally, across LAN or Internet. |

A networked multiplayer anagram game |
Net-o-Grama is a networked anagram game, which can be played by up to 4 players, but playing alone is also supported. Currently the server and a terminal (ncurses) based client for Linux is ready, but a graphical client (sdl) is coming soon. |

netBrush is a simple network based paint program. |
<p>This means it allows multiple people to draw on the same canvas at the same time. The
feature set of netBrush includes a variable sized canvas and paintbrush and airbrush tools, changing brush size, hardness, color, opacity, etc. is also possible. You can also record and play back events
send to the server as well as manipulate them, for example to scale up an image.
<p>netBrush is based on SDL and doesn't use any external widget libraries, so it should be reasonably portable. In addition to the base SDL library netBrush also uses scons, SDL_net and SDL_image. |

Open Source Internet Game Listing Library |
<p>NetGameTrack allows a games programmer to list a server for their multiplayer game on the internet for players to join. It provides a client library which deals with listing a game, server and retrieving a list of available internet games. A free server is made available for programmers to try out. There is also a Administration GUI for those who want to run and administer their own NetGameTracker. |

For the server and client library components only gcc, mingw or VisualStudio2008 is required. To build the NetGameTrack Administrator GUI the Qt SDK is required. |

The classic dungeon crawling rpg. |
This is the biggest of all the roguelike games. Descend to the deepest levels of Gehennom to retrieve the Amulet of Yendor, while acquiring weapons and magic and building your character's skills. I highly recommend the X11 version, which uses a custom font and better graphics. There is also a version which uses the Qt toolkit for X11, which is quite pretty. See the Qt NetHack web page for more details. |

NetHack-De is a translation of NetHack into German. |
<p>Nethack is a wonderfully silly, yet quite addicting, Dungeons and Dragons-style adventure game. You play the part of a fierce fighter, wizard, or any of many other classes, fighting your way down to retrieve the Amulet of Yendor (try saying THAT one backwards!) for your god. On the way, you might encounter a quantum mechanic or two, or perhaps a microscopic space fleet, or -- if you're REALLY lucky -- the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal. |
