atomix | games | -1 | atomix | I love this game, sad there are onlt two levels so far... but it looks promising! | 1999-10-31 09:04:04 | 0
XFrisk | games | -1 | XFrisk | the game and grapgics are great but, i have one complaint. the game is too large for my monitor. other than that the game is great. if you know how to change the board size please tell me.... buddy@iximd.com | 1999-10-31 18:34:27 | 0
Unreal Tournament Demo client | games | -1 | Unreal Tournament De | this is *fantastic*, even in its initial linux release. oddly enough i get a consistently higher framerate in 800x600 than in 640x480, on a p2 266 with voodoo2. go figure. sometimes i wish there was a 'medium' setting for weapon flash :( | 1999-10-31 21:16:14 | 0
LinPyro | games | -1 | LinPyro | Well, I tried to compile the thing. Client compilation succeeded well, then the server side makefile went booboo. I had to do it with hand. Of course, I did something wrong, because the server dies out with sigsegv after loading level... grommit :[ So I couldn't try it, but I must say I like these "hunt"-styled games :] - so keep up the good work k-zed@freemail.c3.hu | 1999-11-01 07:32:22 | 0
Mad Bomber | games | 1735 | Mad Bomber | The download was a little bigger than expected (~2MB) and it was a pain that I had to go get the SDL demo/example tarball to install mixer.h and libmixer.a, but other than that, it's pretty darn fun. Well as fun as the original at least. Maybe less because this one has good sound and graphics, or maybe more if you're not into that whole nostalgia thing. I guess my only beef is about the install process, newbies beware! | 1999-11-01 16:00:51 | 0
Mad Bomber | games | 1858 | Mad Bomber | People will recognize this as Kaboom!, one of the first Activision releases for the Atari 2600 that I can remember. Except this one has really polished sound and graphics. The play action is really nice too. If only I can interface the old Atari joysticks with my linux/PC. Weren't those things great? Anyway, this is a good example of what happens when you put a top notch graphics/sound library (SDL) with a top notch game programmer (Bill Kendrick) in the same room for any length of time. :-) | 1999-11-01 16:31:18 | 0
Mad Bomber | games | 679 | Mad Bomber | I know I wrote it, but I LIKE it! :) (About as much as the original, too!) All I need is someone to figure out how to hook paddles up to a PC! | 1999-11-01 16:40:05 | 0

Fire and Darkness | games | 2562 | Fire and Darkness | Looks like a winner. Someone said 'almost smooth' on Celeron-333 w/ Voodoo2-SLI?? Its perfect on my p166mmx w/ Voodoo2. | 1999-11-01 18:26:05 | 0
Lopan | games | 604 | Lopan | A bit on the basic side but looks pretty .. With some polish it would be a very nice addtion to any system. | 1999-11-02 23:23:33 | 0
