MirrorMagic II | games | 810 | MirrorMagic II | A fun 'thinking' game. Generally very well written and presented. The music is certainly VERY monotonous. I have a suspicion that one of the levels has an error in it becuase it's completely unsolvable. On the other hand, I could be a hopeless game player. :-) | 1999-10-27 00:32:59 | 0

psDoom | games | -1 | psDoom | Brilliant idea ! I would guess (in response to the remote admin. of Win boxes) that we need not kill Windows processes at all, we just hang out in "watch mode" until they die of their own volition. | 1999-10-28 14:48:18 | 0
Abuse | games | -1 | Abuse | It is just great, if you cannot play quake coz your hardware then play Abuse and if you want to play it in both modes svgalib & x11 you just "RTFM" Sitxurdelock gives ***** | 1999-10-28 15:06:48 | 0
krilo | games | 164 | Krilo preview | I was able to use this version of the RPM successfully. The Web page is rather flaky; make sure to use the 'Download' link from the navigation bar on the left (other links on the page may not work). The requirements say 'Pentium or better', but it's sluggish on a PPro-200. (This is strange, since the graphics are really very simple.) This is a cute game, though probably not worth spending any money on. Don't be fooled by the cheery graphics and happy characters; this is an intense game of split-second timing. The clock is very unforgiving. Unfortunately, this means that in many cases, completing a level means doing everything perfectly right. If you fail, you start over from the beginning of the level. If you fail three times, you start over from the last restart point (every five levels, you get a password that lets you skip earlier levels). To make much progress, then, you end up playing the same levels over and over, which annoys me. It's basically impossible (at least for me) to finish a level successfully the first time. Some people like this kind of frustration race, though. The controls are simple and intuitive, and the concept is neat. This game is visually appealing and has a lot of potential. | 1548 | Rocks 'n' Diamonds | games | 608 | Rocks 'n' Diamonds | This one is really cool. You also can play "Sokoban" with it. There's just one problem : I think I don't have enough time to play through _all_ levels... | 1999-10-29 07:24:12 | 0
Rocks 'n' Diamonds | games | 2545 | Rocks 'n' Diamonds | Fantastic. This game is everything BoulderDash/Emerald Mine etc were, and more. Love it! | 1999-10-29 08:41:08 | 0
XFrisk | games | 2546 | XFrisk | Excellent fun, especially with a mix of AI's and humans playing. The AI is fairly sophisticated. The graphics are as good as they need to be. This runs smoothly on a 486, fancy gfx tricks could slow it down a lot. Still some bugs in there though, avoid closing the stats window or looking at your cards when you don't have any! Great for slowish networks where you can't transmit loads of data. | 1999-10-29 08:57:40 | 0
