Civilization: Call To Power Demo games -1 Civilization: Call T Game crashes on RH6.0 when you first experience a fight. 1999-10-14 16:00:44 0
Civilization: Call To Power Demo games -1 Civilization: Call T I hope MaximumLinux will add this on its CDROM? 1999-10-14 23:28:33 0
Tic Tac 4 games 810 Tic Tac 4 Oh well. Keep your expectations low. Two player text-mode game. Easier to play with pencil and paper. Needs a computer player. 1999-10-16 00:18:34 0
Civilization: Call To Power Demo games 820 Civilization: Call T re Slack 4.0 I posted to a slackware forum and one guy said it was because I needed glibc 2.1. I haven't tried to fix it yet. 1999-10-16 13:58:00 0
Unix Racer games -1 Unix Racer I have no idea how good this games is. I could not run on my machine from the distro. It's probably my fault since I skimmed throught the docs. Looks cool though. 1999-10-17 06:30:43 0
Civilization: Call To Power Demo games -1 Civilization: Call T Impossible to play. Hangs during load procedure. Guess that's because some moron used the latest libc when compiling it. 1999-10-17 06:46:30 0
BumpRace games 164 BumpRace A simple 2-D velocity flier with high damping, you have to avoid the nasties, use the doodads, and make it through the maze in time. The build process was icky (aspiring game developers: *please* learn automake! It's not hard!), and the game dies early if it can't find a sound device (luckily I had one; if you don't, try --nosound to fix it). Worst of all, the tarball expands into the current directory! Don't do that! Once you get started, the controls are intuitive and responsive. In a cute touch, you get to pick a racer at the beginning; they each have some special advantage (higher speed, better turning, more time). Actual gameplay is sometimes confusing -- experimentation is needed to figure out which objects do what. (Others have reported collision detection errors, but I didn't see any.) Unfortunately, the gameplay is awfully simplistic, and the support is minimal. It took me a while to figure out that the timer was the mysterious grey thing in the corner. When you lose, the game simply terminates, and there's no obvious way to select a starting level (apparently it's random?). If you're bored, get this; it'll entertain you for a while. If you're looking for a game to hack on, I could imagine worse places to start. Don't expect the next Quake, though. 1999-10-17 12:26:59 0
Myth II: Soulblighter demo games 2477 Myth II: Soulblighte Hey man it runs on my P200MMX with 32MB, and its great, very good game, its going tobe a great reason for a 3dCard and now i'm looking how to get the game in Spain. Linux is entering the big leagues with Loki 1999-10-17 12:44:05 0
Steve's Toys games 1429 Steve's Toys You're probably Iraqi yourself. Do you realise that the Organization for the Protection of the Web page killed Attilla the Hun? You're always totally wrong. It takes a unborn coward like you to say that your vegetable is great. Save the software licenses! 1999-10-17 18:52:05 0
Civilization: Call To Power Demo games -1 Civilization: Call T re Slack 4.0 This worked for me but I am a newbie so it could be dangerous for all I know. I acquired glibcso.tgz from /slackware/current at ftp.cdrom.com and put it a directory by its lonesome and installed it with pkgtool. Then I installed civctp with installpkg and ran it. No problems. Use this advice at your own risk however. OLDCOYOTE 1999-10-17 21:23:24 0
