netPONG | games | -1 | netPONG | A bit too easy-need to up the speed a bit. I can do that in the source code though(thank Cod for Open Source!). Otherwise, mighty enjoyable. Can't wait for that network engine to be done! | 1999-09-04 14:53:25 | 0
Roll 'm Up | games | 2197 | Roll 'm Up | Graphics and sound really seem professional, but as far as game play goes, I found that it just isn't "real" enough. I got hooked on 3D Space Cadet a while ago and hoped to find a similarly addicting pinball for Linux. No such luck. At least, not with this game. | 1999-09-04 15:57:01 | 0
Bomb ô Bomb | games | 21 | Bomb ô Bomb | Good Animation. Good Music and sounds. Very Cartoonish. Has a polish that most Linux games lack. | 1999-09-04 16:48:33 | 0
GFingerPoken | games | 1908 | GFingerPoken | Wow, this is really addictive. The default settings have a reasonable difficulty for beginners, but if you start playing with the settings, you can make the game really really hard. My only criticism of this is that the user interface is kinda weird. But the game itself is great. | 1999-09-04 18:10:14 | 0
Xinsane | games | 1908 | Xinsane | I just didn't care for this game. I gave it a try in both action and puzzle mode. I think both are flawed. In action mode, the controls aren't good enough. At least let me use my mouse to click in the matches as I see them instead of fighting my arrow keys to get to the match in time. In puzzle mode, I don't think the concept is engaging enough to work as a puzzle. I think part of the problem with puzzle mode is that there is no 'win' or 'lose'. You just get a score, and that isn't very rewarding. If there were 'win' or 'lose' and some progressive difficulty in puzzle mode, it might be better. I dunno. | 1999-09-04 18:39:11 | 0
XEvil | games | -1 | XEvil | This game is my favorite Linux game ever! I LOVE it! 4 stars!!!! -Kevin Christie | 1999-09-04 22:45:51 | 0
Quake 3 Arena | games | -1 | Quake 3 Arena | Joakal obviously has set up the Mesa libraries wronly - causing them to fall back on software acceleration only. The graphics are good and the frame-rates are very good on my dual 233 system. If I could compare Q3Test to Alien vs Predator, which is of the same genre, Q3Test has better frame-rates but the physics model can't compare. | 2000-03-17 16:16:08 | 0
Amphetamine | games | 608 | Amphetamine | YES ! I love it. Because there are much to few Run&Jump games for Linux... | 1999-09-05 07:03:21 | 0
Tux the Penguin - A Quest for Herring | games | 22 | Tux the Penguin - A | I love this game. Even tho it not complete it got everything I like about adventure games. Its a must have for ppl that can handle it. | 1999-09-05 15:21:22 | 0
Descent | games | 2248 | Descent | At last!! This game is smokin fast compared with the muppetlabs .19 version (the last I knew about). I run it 640x480 at highest detail and it's smooth enough. I have a P-166MMX w/ 4MB 3D Xtreme, so it's no killer box either. There are compile time definitions for SVGALib and GGI, so I don't see why you can't use those instead... | 1999-09-05 22:17:32 | 0
