America's Army: Special Forces | games | -1 | Re: Ayayaya! | Or maybe they could add a "grammar-and-spell-check-before-posting-a-comment" mode. I agree with you in that the Army doesn't need my e-mail address etc., but you've got to admit that this will likely cut /way/ down on cheaters (assuming they verify the addresses first). Try playing Delta Force in Windows on a Novaworld server for a few days and you're bound to find a few. I also agree with you that the training shouldn't be 15 to 30 minutes of videos, but then again, at least you won't have a ton of n00bies asking you how to do this and how to do that through the whole damn game like they do in Delta Force (which is an incredibly easy game anyway). So, yeah, I agree with some of your points, but by the same token you /do/ need to chill - just a little ;-) | 2003-08-26 15:56:24 | 13372
Crack Attack! | games | -1 | compile error | most of it compiles, but i get this: DrawGarbage.cxx: In static member function `static void Displayer::drawGarbage()': DrawGarbage.cxx:507: `glActiveTextureARB' undeclared (first use this function) DrawGarbage.cxx:507: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once for each function it appears in. not knowing much about OpenGL, i can't fix it. what am i missing? i'd love to play. | 2003-08-26 18:18:21 | 0
Crack Attack! | games | -1 | Re: compile error | It may be an issue with the version of XFree86 you're using. I'm currently dual-booting between Mandrake 9.0 and 9.1. They use XFree86 versions 4.2.1 and 4.3 respectively. On Mandrake 9.0, it compiled and played just fine, but on 9.1 I got the same error you did. | 2003-08-26 18:59:06 | 13456
Crack Attack! | games | 6879 | The name is fitting | The game deserves the 'crack' in it's title, because it's just so addictive. | 2003-08-26 19:50:00 | 0

| 13462 | 3987 | news | 7392 | No Linux version | I just wanted to download it and found this: <blockquote> Downloads:<br> This is only gamedata that is currently not in CVS, this is not yet a playable release. An older playable test release for Windows is available here, it runs reasonable good under Wine if you are using GNU/Linux. <p> Source Code:<br> Source Code is available via CVS, it is not yet ported to GNU/Linux and only works on Windows, it might work also with Wine.
