13355 Hopkins FBI games 3 Re: Hopkins FBI ...i burned it on to cd and kept it safe.
Lucky you. I actually lost both of the two copies I had. I first bought the official box and lost the CD. In a desperate attempt to play the game again, I bought a copy of Red "Something" Linux 2000 (can't remember the "Something" part, suffice to say it was an obscure one) which came with a full copy of Hopkins. I somehow managed to lose that one, too.
I still have the empty original box, it reminds me every now and then that I have to investigate the whereabouts of my CD. 2003-08-23 08:36:21 13350

13358 Neverwinter Nights Client games -1 yeah but yeah so what did you ever purchase and not EXPECT decent support?..at biowares site it 'says' in clearly defined 'english' : SUPPORT > Offical Support Sites when you go there it says NOTHING about 'not supporting linux' until of course you go to Atari's site which then says anything but what is listed is not supported.. nowhere on the site does it say for linux the only support is the FORUM...I paid good money for this game and I deserve the same SUPPORT end of story. Thats the way any GOOD business works....and if Bioware dosen't then they dont deserve to be selling anything period. I have seen someone ask in the forums about problems and get NO ANSWER..is that good support for a paid product??... 2003-08-23 10:12:53 0
13359 Neverball games -1 Damn Gah, just can't get it to compile.. SDL_ttf is missing, I've installed the RPM, and I've tried to install it from source, but nada! Any suggestions? It looks really cool 2003-08-23 10:16:59 0
13360 Heroes games -1 Keyboard buffering would be nice With respect to gameplay, sound and graphics, this is the best nibbles clone that I have seen. I only have one wish for improvement:
In most nibbles clones the keyboard buffer is turned on. this means that if you press two keys shortly after eachother, then the game will remember both keypresses and reform them one after another. So if you press "up" followed by "right" then you can be sure that the worm will change directiontime. This feature makes it easier for a newbie to perform interesting moves. 2003-08-23 10:25:32 0
13361 Neverball games -1 Compiles but doesn't work Looks nice, but doesn't run properly. I think SDL is borked on my machine. The graphical output is mostly black with a few lines here and there. Weird. Sound seems to work okay but isn't much help since I can't see anything. :) 2003-08-23 11:32:17 0
13362 Neverwinter Nights Client games -1 Re: No tech support yes but that doesn't always cover 'everyone'....what for them? 2003-08-23 11:47:11 13349
13363 Neverwinter Nights Client games -1 Re: yeah but Good business?
It is not good business for any company to do anything with linux games. (look at loki)
Bioware did a linux port because they said they would, and I expect it cost them a lot of money to do.
They never said it was going to be supported by thousands of dancing poo throwing monkeys. 2003-08-23 12:44:48 13358
13365 Neverwinter Nights Client games -1 Re: No tech support Ahh, stop now..
You are beginning to give me flash-backs of when I used to do tech support.
*shudder* 2003-08-23 15:19:45 13362
13366 Neverwinter Nights Client games 3 Re: excellent game! ... there's just nothing better than ending the day with some booze and a few hours of NWN (anyone else find that?).
happypenguin.org strongly opposes booze in general!
Apart from that, your thought does have some appeal... 2003-08-23 16:26:45 13348
