Quake 3 Arena | games | 473 | Quake 3 Arena | I tried 1.08, works great on MII-300 with Voodoo Banshee (32-bit color, btw). Sounds great too with SB Live!. Even works well over a 33.6k dial-up. Very impressive. It would be nice to see some games with a few less players, though. 26 is too many for 33.6k :) Can't wait for the bots to come out next month so I can learn to play better without being frag-bait! | 2000-03-17 16:16:08 | 0
Roll 'm Up | games | 1015 | Roll 'm Up | This is the first pinball game that I see on Linux, but it's really a professionnal product. Really easy to install (there's nothing to do)!!!! :-) | 1999-08-30 02:32:35 | 0
X ARCHON | games | -1 | X ARCHON | Love it, It's even better than on my old C64, but I would like joystick og mouse support, but it's still great, even though it coredumps on me after a few games... | 1999-08-30 05:29:57 | 0
Roll 'm Up | games | 1325 | Roll 'm Up | Looks great, but they've overlooked one thing. Only some of us use a US layout on our keyboards. There's no way of configuring the keys. I have to press shift-7 to get the right flipper moving... | 1999-08-30 10:29:37 | 0
Roll 'm Up | games | 674 | Roll 'm Up | This is worth the download. It is well done, and I'm hoping they make more games like this. :) | 1999-08-30 16:35:26 | 0
Roll 'm Up | games | -1 | Roll 'm Up | Great game! Regarding the key problem: you can always change your X keymap (using, for example, xmodmap or xkeycaps), which is what I did. | 1999-08-30 16:46:56 | 0
twinTRIS | games | 164 | twinTRIS | The keyboard control configuration is very unexpected, which makes it difficult to play at first; if they were configurable this would be much easier. The blocks also don't rotate quite right, but it's otherwise a reasonable Tetris implementation. It's unclear how the players actually interact (I haven't tried 'team' mode) -- it seems that the last player standing wins. It would be better, I think, if players could actually influence each other; I've seen other multiplayer Tetris variants where lines removed are added to the bottom of the other player's screen and the like. The use of X for multiplayer action precludes wide-area Internet play. Otherwise, this is an entertaining game, if you're into Tetris... | 1999-08-30 22:33:45 | 0
Roll 'm Up | games | -1 | Roll 'm Up | It is w/ great difficulty that I avoid profanity. Went to ftp archive. Nothing there but a crappy MS NT server. Game? they didn't bring one. Morons. | 1999-08-30 23:54:31 | 0
X ARCHON | games | 1908 | X ARCHON | Cool. Looks like it is improving steadily. Net-play would be nice though. | 1999-08-31 00:19:15 | 0
BoboBot | games | 1908 | BoboBot | What's there is lots of fun, but it needs more levels. It is quite easy to breeze through the whole thing in a half an hour. More worlds and more than one level in each world would be nice. | 1999-08-31 00:24:09 | 0
