| 13027 | Neverball | games | 8316 | Re: No Go on Compile | Better yet, I could fix the source on the website so it doesn't have this problem and nobody has to upgrade... Which I've just done. | 2003-08-05 11:12:15 | 13026 |
| 13028 | kiki the nano bot | games | 2328 | Re: wont finish make process | Was that REALLY necessary? I mean, surely you could have emailed the author instead of posting that here?

Anyway, it looks like the problem is that you don't have GL and Glut development headers installed. That's what all the "undefined reference" stuff is about. | 2003-08-05 11:34:15 | 12863 |
| 13029 | GtkAtlantic | games | 6810 | Re: GTK2 version?? | Could you at least put the incomplete code of the gtk2 version, so someone can eventually try to make it faster. I know GTK2 lacks documentation, and the new libs are not so easy to master. Perhaps someone can then try to make it faster. The KDE client is fast, and GNOME2 is actually faster than KDE, so the speed problem can surely be fixed.
Actually, GNOME2 is faster than GNOME1 on my old Thinkpad PII 266, so I'm sure that even though gtkatlantic is only GTK2, it can be made faster.
I do not say I will do it, I have no time either ;) ...
For now, it will be 3 stars only | 2003-08-05 13:11:57 | 12868 |
| 13030 | Neverball | games | 3 | Re: No Go on Compile | It works fine on my Debian unstable. Install libsdl-ttf2.0 plus libsdl-ttf2.0-dev and you should be set. | 2003-08-05 13:36:57 | 13024 |
| 13031 | Neverball | games | -1 | Controls are faar to hard. | There should be a way to set mouse sensitivity or even to use an analogue joystick with it. Since the game seem to automaticaly rotate the camera around the ball it's even harder. LMB and RMB do control the camera somewhat, but I sometimes end up with the camera at the same plane as the floor.. I suggest the author takes a look at Marbleblast from garagegames. It's not the same game I know but it's just as fun. | 2003-08-05 13:41:42 | 0 |

| 13033 | Neverball | games | 8316 | Re: Controls are faar to hard. | See the README.txt. Mouse sensitivity may be set in the config file using the "mouse_sense" option. An analog joystick may be enabled using the "joy" option. When using the mouse, the left and right mouse buttons rotate the camera about the ball. And yes, I have played Marble Blast. :) | 2003-08-05 14:20:40 | 13031 |
