13017 Exult games 5819 Exult: My favourite RPG... ... playable on my favourite Operating System (Linux, of course ;-) !! I love it!
Exult also manages to fix some user interface glitches of the original Ultima VII, and it looks much better because of higher resolution modes and its sophisticated scaling algorithms.

Thanks a lot for this wonderful piece of software! 2003-08-05 06:36:18 0
13018 Scorched 3D games 8394 Excellent 4 stars. There's some oddball version dependencies, but the originality in this format is excellent, and we're NOT at version 1.0 yet. Just one suggestion- Make an option for a seperate timer for buying and shooting. Keep up the fine work! 2003-08-05 07:07:33 0
13019 ScummVM games 5819 An adventure gamer's dream come true This is one of my favourite open source projects.
Being kind of an adventure nut, the ability to play all those Lucas Arts, Adventuresoft and Revolution Software classics on my Linux machine, is the best thing that could happen.
As a cross-platform project, with ScummVM it is furthermore possible to play all those games on platforms where they originally were never planned to be played on, like the Sega Dreamcast or the Palm, SUN Solaris, MacOS X or even Windows XP ;)
A truely amazing achievement.

Also, kudos to Revolution Software for releasing some of their classics as freeware - and of course for contributing to this project!
The day of Broken Sword 3 is released here in Germany, I'll be in the stores to buy it. 2003-08-05 07:26:09 0
13020 Enigma games 5819 Great game I liked the original Oxyd back in the days.
Great to see such a high-quality remake being made. 2003-08-05 07:49:25 0
13021 Frozen Bubble games 5819 Pure zen I don't know why but this game is so much fun... once you started it you can hardly stop.
The music is great. 2003-08-05 07:51:29 0
13022 Pingus games 5819 I like it. I remember when I first tried this game some time ago, there wasn't much of a game yet. Good to see it is at last playable after such a long time.
Also, the idea of connecting the levels with a storyline, is quite good (although Lemmings 2: The Tribes did a similar thing, I like Pingus' approach better).
One thing that confused me a bit is that the "Builder" pingus change their animation to "Blocker", when they run out of bridge stones... perhaps someone could draw a separate animation phase for that...
Oh, and I kinda like the background tunes. 2003-08-05 08:02:02 0
13023 Neverball games -1 No Go on Compile unzipped the archive and tryed to make it... but stopped and complained about an undefined reference to TTF_WasInit(). I have SuSE 8.2 so my SDL libs and headers should be up to date. I do have the devel rpms installed. --anyone else have this problem? 2003-08-05 09:50:32 0
13024 Neverball games 250 Re: No Go on Compile Same problem here. I have Debian Unstable. 2003-08-05 10:11:43 13023
13025 Neverball games 8316 Re: No Go on Compile TTF_WasInit was added to SDL_ttf in version 2.0.6. If you'd rather not upgrade, you can comment this line out. It's just paranoia on my part. 2003-08-05 10:24:44 13024
