Scorched 3D games -1 Re: Ow You should send the error messages so one can look at them, I've been able to come thru the configure, and you'll need some creativity to compile it on newer systems, even trow bullshit away(or fix it after it becomes clear what they want...) . There is for example a gcc3.3 patch in the forum at the Scorched home page which you need if you have gcc-3.3, but there is more to do depending on your base system 2003-08-02 02:36:38 12933
Scorched 3D games -1 Re: Ow so the next question would be: where can one find binaries for various linux system? It's a shame such games can be played on windows out of the box and not on linux if you aint a dev. 2003-08-02 02:53:29 12935

Scorched 3D games -1 Re: Ow On my system at least, I'm missing some of the wxwindows m4 files for autoconfigure to work with. <p><pre>[toby@nexus scorched]$ aclocal aclocal: configure.ac: 79: macro `AM_OPTIONS_WXCONFIG' not found in library aclocal: configure.ac: 80: macro `AM_PATH_WXCONFIG' not found in library </pre> <p>These point to wxwin.m4 missing or not in the aclocal path. I'll try fixing that on my system and I'll post again if I can get this thing closer to compiling! 2003-08-02 12:43:49 12933

NVIDIA Linux Display Driver games -1 Re: Very nice, I'm sure I guess you're referring to the nv drivers, the open source ones. With the ones provided by Nvidia you can expect an increase of about 1000% in relation to the open source ones :) 2003-08-02 14:13:59 12899
Omega games 4987 dern it hey, i try to play it: <p> [andrew@chopin gromega-src]$ ./omega <br> Segmentation fault <br> [andrew@chopin gromega-src]$ <p> 3 minutes of download wasted !!! <p> well, like you said, buggy C code, oh well 2003-08-02 17:59:14 0
Scorched 3D games -1 Re: compile First off, there's a bug in some of the macros (affecting folks using GCC 3.x) -- and a patch already submitted to SourceForge that fixes it. Second, you need to have wxWindows/wxGTK installed to make it compile; this is perhaps another major issue. Other than those two things, it WORKSFORME (and no, I'm not one of the developers). Damn cool game, btw. 2003-08-02 19:26:03 12945
