12792 KRconLinux games 3 Enemy Territory? Due to popular demand, I have recently been toying around with a <a href="http://happypenguin.org/show?Wolfenstein%3A%20Enemy%20Territory">Wolfenstein: ET</a> server. Unfortunately, ET is not (yet?) officially supported so I used <a href="http://happypenguin.org/show?Return%20To%20Castle%20Wolfenstein">RTCW</a>'s protocol instead. It does work but has a few glitches: <ul><li>The <i>Rcon Password test</i> erraneously reports an error <li>The Console only displays the word "print" instead of system messages, players do receive the messages sent though <li>Available maps are not listed in the <i>Change Level</i> options</ul> So, no rating yet as it probably wouldn't do it justice. I am curious to see the next release though.<br> I still have a <a href="http://happypenguin.org/show?Tribes%202">Tribes2</a> server installed that I could use to test this tool more thoroughly (did I ever mention that I like T2 far better anyways?). 2003-07-24 03:17:55 0
12793 Enrapture games -1 finally wow, finally somone is going to write this sort of the game. actually i've been planning to start a project of this kind myself for years, i didn't have the guts to do it, however. anyway, i hope they won't mess up the idea cos if they do the right job the game could be extremally popular world-wide. i keep my fingers crossed 2003-07-24 03:19:50 0
12794 3888 news 6885 Re: 3888 With the <a href="http://home.woh.rr.com/nwmovies/">NWMovies</a> hack you can play .ogm/.mpg/.avi movies inside the client. <a href="http://www.tuxgames.com/">TuxGames</a> sells cds with mpg movies, or you can use <a href="http://delirare.com/stuff/nwnbink2ogm.php">nwnbink2ogm</a> to convert your binks to ogm. Enjoy =) 2003-07-24 03:34:55 12790

12797 Freeciv games -1 Re: Not as good as people say it is I wholeheartedly agree. However I've been tracking the mailing lists for freeciv-dev and freeciv-ai and can say that the developers, and in particular the project maintainer, are a very dedicated and active group. Lots of work gets done on this project, even if it's taken 7 years to get Freeciv even half the way to a true single-player strategy game. I've been impressed enough to really start being more proactive in contributing back to this project. Hopefully I can get involved within a couple weeks. 2003-07-24 08:31:45 7386
