| 12743 | Battle for Wesnoth | games | 8117 | Re: 0.2.1 |
Ok, I've been spoilt by my 2 Ghz machine. I tried it on my parent's computer, and I see what you mean. It's pretty painful to be honest. I don't know how you could play for so long without throwing your arms up in disgust.
I will work on improving that. The eminent problem is that at the moment the entire backbuffer is copied to the framebuffer every game-cycle. Most of it will have to be copied when scrolling anyhow, but at other times I should be able to make the game fairly responsive. I will try to alleviate the slow scrolling problem by increasing the rate, and perhaps by adding better code to skip frames if it's going too slowly.
-Sirp. | 2003-07-21 04:04:32 | 12706 |

| 12745 | Atlantik | games | 1159 | Re: Almost there... I guess | In Atlantik 0.6.0, there will be a GUI for connecting to custom servers. For 0.5.x, you can connect with atlantik -h localhost -p 1234 , but obviously you'll need two clients for a game: computer AI is not finished yet, although I've started to work on a bot for monopd. | 2003-07-21 04:07:09 | 6176 |
| 12746 | The Third Reich | games | 8039 | Re: Der dritte Reich | when i say ttr does not glorify world war 2, i mean that its purpouse is not to sketch world war 2 as something which was fun to be part of. ofcourse it leaves out many aspects of war, otherwise it could not be considered a game. in the end, it's a game, and is supposed to be fun to play ;) | 2003-07-21 05:19:11 | 12730 |

| 12750 | Powermanga | games | -1 | Re: Powermanga |
Basically you can't control the lightning gun. I learned that it is activated when you have full set of five rotating buddies and then collect the token for sixth. Also, it appears to target the closest enemy _when fired_ and then just keeps hitting that one until it is destroyed.

It's a neat weapon and certainly a boon to keep you wanting to dodge smaller enemies just to preserve your rotating shield buddies.
| 2003-07-21 11:16:26 | 4501 |
