Robovasion, Profit! | Hehe, for days I'd been looking back at the Robovasion site, wondering how long it'd take before there was anything to see. It was hard to shake the feeling it was vapourware!! But hey, there's an actual screenshot now, cool. <P>Hope the good progress continues, and good luck Grumbel! | 2003-07-08 18:29:46 | 12516 |

| 12526 | Stratagus | games | -1 | Re: What about Wargus? | Actually, if you download stratagus you will find that the code for ripping warcraft 2 is still there and works just fine. just download, ./setup; ./tools/build.sh -p /path/to/warcraft2 | 2003-07-09 05:49:13 | 12503 |

| 12528 | Stratagus | games | -1 | Stratagus | Hi, long-time reader, first-time poster.<p> I just wanted to chime in and say that I'm very happy with this turn of events. Now, don't get me wrong, I think Blizzard was abusing the law when they gave Freecraft the C&D smackdown, but I'm pleased with the direction the project has taken as a result.<p> All too often, it seems to me, we in the free software community end up making nearly identical copies of commercial software, which I must confess, confuses me. Here we are, with very little stake in the success or failure of a project, and yet, we're doing things typical of some of the least creative companies.<p> That's why I'm glad that the Freecraft project has become Stratagus. I looked into adapting the Freecraft engine at one point, but found that quite a bit has been hard-wired into the code. I hope that with Stratagus, folks will be encouraged to create new, innovative RTS games. | 2003-07-09 08:22:30 | 0 |
| 12530 | Globulation 2 | games | -1 | Nice game | Try the "static stable" binary, it works well. The game is suprisingly good, by the way :) | 2003-07-09 15:58:40 | 0 |
