Pathological | games | 6879 | Re: Pathological | What version of python do you have? I tested python 2.1.3 and it had the xor and assign operator. But I don't know when it was added to python. If you are running python before 2.1.3, you could either upgrade python (the right thing to do), or be cool and submit a patch that makes the game work with earlier versions of python, start by replacing x ^= y with x = x ^ y. | 2003-07-05 21:19:14 | 12473
Ensemblist | games | 506 | Nice | Ok, lets start with the good things, the menu its pretty cool, very well done, much more interesting then these standard 2d menus, that alone might be worth a try. Rest of the game also looks pretty nice. <p> Now to the not-so-good things, the game is extremly slow on a Matrox G450, Athlon 1Ghz, menus, etc. are ok, but as soon as the CSG fun starts, it gets down to something like 2fps per second, making it virtually unplayable. I also found the game idea, while pretty uniq, not all that much fun, that said, I only played three construction, since the 2fps, where really a good show-stopper, so real fun might start after that, but it really feelt like something was missing, too static or simple probally. It might also be a good idea to display target-constrution and the current one side by side or with a transparent overlay, switching between them was a bit cumbersome. Having the target construction inversed, might also provide a bit more fun, so that the player doesn't have to simply rebuild it, but to build the inverse of it, bringing him in the situation to build a key for a keyhole, that could also allow the player more freedom, since he doesn't have to clone the whole structure, but only as much until it fits the hole. <p> After all four stars for the good implementation and the nice idea, even so the real fun didn't really started for myself. | 2003-07-06 10:21:13 | 0
gGo | games | -1 | gGo | Interesting.. the original qGo from which this project forks was licensed under GPL. Now, Peter Strempel was a co-author of qGo so this is not necessarily a problem. The question is, do the co-authors of qGo accept his relicensing of qGo? | 2003-07-06 11:17:17 | 0
Raydium | games | 8213 | New test for 3D engine | During 2 days and 2 nights, we've worked on some new tests for the 3D engine, and the last one is a "King of the Hill" buggy network game ! Before releasing this test as a complete game, here you are an exclusive video ;) <a href=http://perso.wanadoo.fr/jamm/rayrez.avi>http://perso.wanadoo.fr/jamm/rayrez.avi</a> (4 Mo) | 2003-07-06 13:44:18 | 0
Pathological | games | 8243 | Re: Fun game | I'm glad you like it. The original game ("Logical") was published by Rainbow Arts in 1991, I believe, for several different platforms. To skip to the next or previous level, use the 'N' or 'B' key, respectively. | 2003-07-06 14:38:42 | 12475

Tux-n-Run | games | -1 | Re: Promising | I agree. I myself don't mind Windows 9x at all. And and besides, aren't the MSN butterfly and wavy windows symbol (what is that called anyway?) trademarked? Otherwise keep up the good work. It looks really promising. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the sound, as i have yet to get my sound card working. | 2003-07-06 23:35:03 | 12394

Tux-n-Run | games | 8017 | As all the ingredients to be a success! | This game is similiar to SuperTux, but unlike this one, Tux-n-Run have a much better base code, which will hopefully make him one of the best free games.<br> Congrats!! | 2003-07-07 10:21:15 | 0
