NetHack Falcon's Eye games -1 Re: Not impressed nethack isn't entirly an rpg, it doesn't have the usualy character development, but its not entirely a dungeon crawler as it has a basic story to it, unlike diablo which has NO STORY AT ALL 2003-06-18 18:41:47 11966
NetHack Falcon's Eye games 6013 NetHack Falcon's Eye A wonderful graphical interface for NetHack. Works perfect on my 200mhz Pentium Pro. ;-) 2003-06-18 19:36:29 0
Brian games 6879 Re: Python 2.3 You sure that requiring 2.3 is a good idea? Even if you don't release the game until after 2.3 is out, not everyone wants to go and install new versions of programs just to be able to run a game. Do the new features in 2.3 outweigh the the loss number of users who aren't going to upgrade a fairly significant package to run a small game? 2003-06-18 21:22:08 11880
Cedega (WineX) games -1 Re: Give me a break I dual boot with XP and Suse linux 8.2. The XP installation is for games and some (but not most) of my programming work for school. Most of my games frequently crash under XP...Ha! So does Visual Basic.NET a Microsoft product. I've lost work from VB crashing more times than I can count...what a buggy piece of crap! Under linux with and without WineX I have never had a total crash (the X server crashed once but got it back up with a quick startx) , and NEVER has my development software died. Oh yeah, the dev tools for linux rock while the windows counterparts are prohibitively expensive and too menu and wizard driven...come on learn some code!!! 2003-06-18 23:27:03 10626
Cedega (WineX) games 8039 Re: winex3 i doubt your problem has to do with winex itself. unless i am mistaken, you should install the right drivers for your gfx card to enable 3D hardware acceleration. for nvidia go to nvidia.com/drivers and get the .run file; instructions are there too. 2003-06-19 00:22:10 10572
adv770 games -1 Re: Made any points? Sorry, still don't get it. This one is seriously damaging my health! Please, Please give me a more '(un)conventional' clue - an action word will do! 2003-06-19 02:02:56 11981
NetHack Falcon's Eye games 7392 Re: Anybody got it working? But how can I disable sound? It seems, like the game and the setup script don't support command line arguments, and there's no way to enter a setup Dialog, before choosing a player, and starting a game. 2003-06-19 02:10:00 11978
GTacToe games 7574 GTacToe I can't believe you've set this up only to compile on GTK+-2.0. I mean, come on, I know I should keep my system up to date etc, but then I look out for games like this one because they should be runnable on really old distros. How about you release binaries, or launch a TCL/TK version? 2003-06-19 03:33:19 0
Battle for Wesnoth games -1 Nice, but still 0.1 The game is a good idea. But I've seen two bugs : - Your commander can't raise in level. (He had something like 58/40 exp) - You can recruit infinit units by recalling. Keep up your good work ! 2003-06-19 04:28:10 0
Brian games 600 Re: Python 2.3 Python 2.3 has a number of very useful new features, such as sets, optparse, enumerate, bz2, itertools, and more. It is not difficult to install Python 2.3, because there will be a RPM when 2.3final is released, probably in August. The same is true for Pygame already. Especially Python 2.3 is useful to have anyway, because as time progresses, more programs will use it. Because I don't expect a large user base of Brian, let alone in the next few months, I have not taken the pain to use an older version of Python. 2003-06-19 04:32:52 11984
