| 11976 | Cedega (WineX) | games | -1 | FUD'er go home | I used XP for awhile when I got my new dell..wont make that mistake again ( dell--no linux for desktops so they can screw off! )...its a bloated system with tons of crap you dont need and if you are unforunate enough to agree to EULA's then look out for spam and of course..we all know of XP's incredible stability dont we..NOT!!!..since using linux..i've not crashed once in the 5 months of using mandrake 9.1..its rock solid is most any linux variant... and if stability doesnt convince you...just try running XP/any windows variant for long 'without' a virus program of some type..bah!! you can't...windows is doomed because of its flawed design and its arrogance ( proof of which was documented in court battles in case anyone forgets and if you forget..check out www.lindows.com for more evidence of what a nice guy windows is..again..NOT!! ( and no I could care less about LONGHORN..M$ has consistenly show itself to be arrogant beyond control so i'm not interested nor do I trust them anymore period.) so..that leaves us with the incredible stability and virus -free environment of linux...and I want linux to continue to succede and get attention of developers...like www.s2games.com < gotta love em for making linux one of their 'priorities!'... however I do worry that as winex procedes and possibly improves..that it will jeopardize native ports as companies can get slack about development on our front...then again..if they just utilized the 'tools' that exist today for cross-platform development like 'we are'..then all this would be a moot point and winex could exist solely to make older games work . latre ;) | 2003-06-18 11:57:54 | 0 |
