11946 Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory games -1 Re: Gentoo GameCD The bittorrent link is dead too. I get a Connection Refused when I try it. 2003-06-17 10:41:23 11784
11947 adv770 games -1 Re: Made any points? Catacombs - no problem, got them sorted and consequently the beanstalk, but what can I do to make me lean forward?. Now found more in the desert but can't avoid paying tax!! Lost the way to the windrose also, - by the way what exactly is a windrose?? Still none the wiser about the alarm - what do I need?. Shame I can't get drunk on champagne, I'm sure my mind would work better. Any further tips for me? 2003-06-17 10:55:37 11889
11948 adv770 games -1 Re: Made any points? More tips coming up! :-) 1. Who said anything about leaning forward? Did you ask the game for a hint in that location? 2. One usually avoids tax by cheating. There are no fewer than three separate ways of cheating in this case, but only one is penalty-free. 3. A windrose is a strange object. I have one on my windowsill. It looks like a random collection of intersecting discs. They are formed out of sand over a long period of time, but I have no idea of theprocesses involved. 4. Have you visited the crypt yet? 2003-06-17 11:16:13 11947
11951 America's Army: Special Forces games 7984 Re: Stay on topic, please. People can go ahead and post their opinions on the game, but off-topic concerns about any suspected motives behind the game should probably go in the off-topic forum area. If you have a problem installing the game, that is game related. If you simply cannot score higher than a 12 on the M16 rifle range and want some tips, that is game related (although you might find better help elsewhere). If you have concerns that the United States is going to annex Iraq and this game is just a recruitment method, that is related to politics, not games.

bobz can apparently do whatever he feels <strike>like doing</strike> is best, and it seems that he feels that game-related discussion is worth keeping (even if it is stupid, but on-topic, discussion) and political ranting is not worth keeping (in this forum area).

On the plus side, I have been playing off and on (Windows version up until this client was released) for months and have not been recruited, drafted, kidnapped using information I provided when signing up, or spammed by the government. And the gameplay is good, so I'll keep playing ;-P 2003-06-17 11:57:07 11898
11953 Protector games -1 Re: 90 errors - won't compile :( Sorry about those nasty newlines. I'll fix them in the next version. (That should come out pretty soon - not compiling has to be considered a fairly serious problem.)
You may be right about the game being too hard...It seems OK to me, but I have been testing it quite extensively. It's nice to hear somebody thought it was funny!
-Mark 2003-06-17 14:04:03 11931

11957 3782 news -1 Re: ah ah ah So, you actively spend your time hanging around on a linux game website just so you can make fun of a handful of linux users who won't listen to you anyway? Wow, you must be a truly lonely person. Hey! There's this crazy new thing called "outside." Maybe you should look into it. I'll be off signing the petition now. See ya. 2003-06-17 16:07:07 11926
