| 11933 | 3782 | news | -1 | Re: reasons for linux ports? | Most Linux game servers are dedicated to keep the response time low, if the server administrator wants to play (s)he will boot up his/her Windows box and connect. | 2003-06-16 13:23:47 | 11930 |

| 11935 | SimCity 3000 Unlimited | games | -1 | Disappointing | Few genuine improvements over 2000 and has lost some things, like the arcologies. I hear SimCity 4 is even worse. Maxis has forgotten how to make a good game. | 2003-06-16 13:31:40 | 0 |
| 11936 | ePSXe | games | -1 | Bug smashed! | Are you experiencing constant segmentation faults in the config dialog? Don't get mad- they aren't ePSXe's fault.

Get the source code of the P.E.Ops SPU. Edit the makefile and change the NOTHREADLIB option to TRUE. Compile it and use that instead of the precompiled version. It should now work like a charm.

This fix turned ePSXe for me from a just another piece of buggy Windows-centric, closed source crud into an excellent PlayStation emulator just as great under Linux as under the old Dubya. If you're a zealot, it ought to work under the open-source PCSX as well, which had similar problems when I tried it. | 2003-06-16 13:40:13 | 0 |

| 11941 | qGo | games | -1 | doesn't build | you have some serious automake problems. It expects a version 1.4 automake when version 1.7.2 or newer is current. | 2003-06-16 21:23:19 | 0 |

| 11943 | 3782 | news | -1 | Re: reasons for linux ports? | So what? This has nothing to do with that I would want to run the client on my server. Which of course I won't. My server has no grafics. But do you think I'll install Windows on my workstation just to play a game? No way, and as long as a game does not run on linux, I'm also not willing to host a server. So I can watch all the windows-guys using my server to play a game I cannot play on my platform? No thank you. | 2003-06-17 04:06:54 | 11933 |
