BZFlag | games | -1 | BZFlag | The game rocks, especially with a TNT2 ;) although, the binary downloads aren't accelerated with it. | 1999-08-07 23:05:33 | 0
ClanBomber | games | 1884 | ClanBomber | game is perfect if you play with humans, but when you try it in single player mode - you will be bored, becouse AI players are very stupid (but it changed, now they are more clever than in latest versions... probably :-)) only 4 stars - I don't have many gamers at home | 1999-08-08 07:48:55 | 0
Quake | games | -1 | Quake | I wish that glquake would be rewritten for true usage of opengl, and not just the lame glide/miniport implimentation it has now. Not much I can do with my riva128. | 1999-08-08 07:55:43 | 0
Civilization: Call To Power | games | -1 | Civilization: Call T | Excellent! Only slowed down after having a huge Civ. The best in it's line. Little trouble w/mulitplayer, but overall not much to complain about. | 1999-08-08 16:19:29 | 0
XRoads | games | 553 | XRoads | Not bad. An old-fashioned "shoot everything" style game. Some people may not like the simple graphics, and there are still some nasty bugs (v 0.6). It's also a very challenging game, and is nice when you have 15 minutes or so to kill. | 1999-08-08 19:13:38 | 0
Myth II: Soulblighter demo | games | -1 | Myth II: Soulblighte | Great Game! Really great fun and it is quite challenging to find strategies that let me win with minumum loss to my soldiers. One small warning: Do not have anything important open while playing. If the demo crashes (usually just as you finish a level :-( it takes X down with it. | 1999-08-08 23:42:28 | 0
Orbit | games | 2087 | Orbit | relly cool game, but i'd like to get some sound. | 1999-08-09 07:28:32 | 0
Orbit | games | 21 | Orbit | Wow! Never seen such a good game for Linux that was free. Worked right off the bat for me. Good tutoring mission to learn how to fly the craft. Only a couple of things I didn't like: No sound, Flickery on my Banshee. Also not very fluid stops - that is no momentum. You can stop on a dime, which shouldn't happen if you are going 100,000 kph. Keep up the good work. Networking? :) | 1999-08-09 09:59:30 | 0
Simple DirectMedia Layer | games | 2090 | Simple DirectMedia L | This library rocks. Although I did have to do a lot of configuring to get something to compile natively under win32 with egcs. But I'd be dumb not to write a game with SDL. | 1999-08-09 17:34:25 | 0
Orbit | games | -1 | Orbit | Actually stopping works just fine. It's allowing you to cheat by stopping on the dime. If you want to simulate a real stop then do it how you would in space: reverse thrust or face your rear (the red circle) and accelerate. Be sure to do this when you are at least half the distance your were from the object when you began to accelerate, or try as you might, you'll overshoot the object. | 1999-08-09 18:47:57 | 0
