| 11721 | gngeo | games | -1 | Them's fightin' words! | [...]on my old K6-3 400 [...]
K6-3 is superior to k6-2 and was released about a year after market acceptance of k6-2 to accomodate the laptop market. K6-3 is simply a lower power and higher performing k6-2 than can be used in either compatible laptops or motherboards that support its lower voltage settings. K6-3 is 1999 technology!!! It's not old! It performs verry well despite is reasonable power consumption! I have a k6-3 333MHz (AFK stepping) in a little clamshell CPU box and I'm waiting to throw it into a Netpliance I-opener or somthing realy small footprint! They perform well and I think it is a disgrace to the computer industry as a whole for companies that think the only way to improve performance is in designing CPUs that suck twice as much power as their predecessor!
Yes, you hit the nerve...I'm trying to control myself.. *#$WACK! !@#THUD...
Yeah suckit! Frist Post!
Imagine...if netcraft confirmed *BSD is dying, then we could all poor hot grits down our pants while watching natalie portman conquer all our base! | 2003-06-03 09:12:33 | 11210 |
| 11722 | Eternal Lands | games | -1 | Re: Eternal Lands | Just because in your mind you associate the word "mother" with various nasty words doesn't mean everyone else does. In fact, it's simple psihology, someone who associate those words has an incestual relationship with his mother. But I have good news, there are some shrinks that can fix that for you. So, go and see one. Anyway, stop changing the subject and post the links, because it makes you look really stupid on how you accuse people of various stuff but yet you fail to prove it. | 2003-06-03 09:16:07 | 11716 |
| 11723 | Cardpics | games | -1 | what about svg? | Those png are nice but it would be even better if the format was svg. | 2003-06-03 09:37:37 | 0 |
| 11724 | gngeo | games | -1 | neo-geo an mame | ok, i have one simple question: how do i manage to play neo-geo on mamex? I have some rom-files, but they do not work with mamex, even when they cope with gngeo. please, where do i get the appropriate neo-geo roms for mame? | 2003-06-03 10:14:25 | 0 |
| 11726 | gngeo | games | -1 | mmm you're right | I'm the same dude ;). You're right, i've a K6-3/400 and a K6-2/550. Guess what, K6-3 is a -lot- faster (at lest with games). I can even play the just released Wolfenstein-Enemy Territory ! Of course, low detail level, but hey, it's not that bad for a '99 processor ! I think there's almost the same permorfance diference between Pentium2 and Pentium3. Maybe more. BTW, GnGeo is -so- great. I use K6-3 to run epsxe (psx emulator) also. Hope the next Dreamcast emus will be working fine on my computer also. Just kidding ;)

--{@ Ryo99. | 2003-06-03 14:51:13 | 11721 |

| 11730 | Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory | games | -1 | Re: RtCW/ET; not free, not yet OSS | If you are going definition-wise, the economic definition of a free good is a good without opportunitycost. So it isn't really free, as you could probably have playted another game with more levels and more action, but this is what is satisfying you the most at the present time.. Just keeping the discussion going! | 2003-06-03 16:01:02 | 11709 |
| 11732 | Krystal Drop | games | -1 | uh.... carefull when extracting | put the .tgz file in its own dir or you get crap all over the place when extracting it.... anyhow....this is what i get after building it: Could not open kdrop.ini Could not parse configuration file, using default values Fatal signal: Segmentation Fault (SDL Parachute Deployed) | 2003-06-03 17:32:57 | 0 |
| 11734 | Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory | games | -1 | Gentoo GameCD | Has anybody tried the Gentoo GameCD version of this? What a great idea. Minimal linux distro with RTCW:ET embedded on it for ATI and Nvidia users.
Gentoo Games
One problem: Takes LOADS of ram, since it sets up a a ramdisk for your filesystem and one for swap (But I can't understand WHY it would set up a swap ramdisk). So- since I've got limited resources, the game locks during a level load (I've got only 256MB of 2100 DDR - guess this means a trip to microcenter). Anybody have any luck?
