| 11564 | Neverwinter Nights Client | games | -1 | Re: Legal piracy? | WTF? Just buy the game on your local retailer and install it using wine. That's absolutely no problem. Or get the inofficial installer: http://icculus.org/~ravage/nwn/
If you want to pirate this game and cannot, that's absolutely your problem. I won't tell you where to find warez, ask someone else... | 2003-05-26 08:55:03 | 11562 |
| 11566 | Neverwinter Nights Client | games | 6952 | Re: it's devel stuff for the Biowarians | UT2003 is for WIN and Linux, Tuxracer too. Well, LGP made a port of a previously released windows game. There was no other way to bring majesty to Linux. Well, I don't have windows and I don't need this benefits for switching to windows in the future :-p NWN isn't a fully functional game in a nice and comfortable package. | 11569 | 3706 | news | -1 | einstein | "He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, senseless brutality, deplorable love-of-country stance, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action! It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder." - Albert Einstein | 2003-05-26 15:33:13 | 0 |
| 11570 | NVIDIA Linux Display Driver | games | -1 | Re: Why are people complaining? | This is true. Don't complain about the closed source because it is closed. It is like that to keep lazy competiton away from its secrets. I bought an ATI Radeon 9000 and was surprised in what the drivers were lacking. They havent even updated the drivers since November of 2002. NVIDIA Is way better in drivers all around!!!!!!! | 2003-05-26 15:34:47 | 11327 |
| 11573 | Arkanae | games | -1 | Re: Arkanae | Works just fine on my machine, and I have a 900 Mhz Athlon Thunderbird, and a GeForce 4 MX 440. | 2003-05-26 18:43:09 | 6153 |
| 11574 | Majesty | games | 6924 | Great game | Quite a fun time killer. It's a nice departure from other RTS games because the amount of control you can exert over your units is very limited. At times the lack of direct control can be quite annoying (like an entire army of wizards commiting mass suicide trying to fight a singe vampire), but quite a lot of the time you'll be counting on your units to go off and do their own thing. It takes a bit of getting used to, but it plays quite well. Graphics, sound, gameplay are all top notch. Installation is a breeze. The only thing I'd fault it on is that multiplayer was obviously tacked on as an afterthought. You'll have to look for opponents on IRC, but multiplayer is there if it really interests you. Overall I'm very pleased with this game. | 2003-05-26 20:19:43 | 0 |
| 11575 | SDLPong | games | -1 | Loki Installer binary? | Why not provide a binary using the loki installer? Statically link everything except X11, Xext, pthread.
- Andreas | 2003-05-27 00:16:42 | 0 |
| 11578 | Game Editor | games | -1 | It can do sound, probably FX too | HappyPenguin says no, but it needs SDL_mixer and also has Ogg and MP3 support.
BTW, it looks like their marketing model will be that you can create and distribute whatever you like by way of a game for free, but you need to pay if you want to spit your game out as a standalone EXE. Fair enough. I do miss having the source though. | 2003-05-27 01:59:19 | 0 |
