Solitaire card game for lazy people |
GTKabale is an implementation of the well known solitaire card game, only in a lazy version. It can be played with a minimal effort.<br>
You move the cards with the mouse. Just click on a card to move it. If there is only one possible move, the card(s) moves by itself, otherwise you'll have to click on the destination. A click on the card back to the left flips three cards fron the ones on hand, a right click anywhere does the same. |

A simple logic game |
GtkBalls is a simple logic game. The goal of
the game is to make the maximum number of lines
with balls of the same color. A line is made of
five balls. Each time you don't do a line, extra
balls appear on the grid. You loose when the
grid is full.

Collection of board games |
Gtkboard is a board games system. It implements all the common aspects of board games, such as the user interface, move parsing code, AI and file format. Games are fitted in as plugins. Currently more than 30 games have been fully or partially implemented. Some are single player and some are two player games. The user can play with the computer or with another person. It supports infinite undo and redo of moves.

5.1 |
A Conway's Life application for Linux/Gtk+ |
<p>GtkLife is a fast, user-friendly implementation of Conway's Life: a form of artificial life developed by the mathematician John Conway.
<p>Conway's Life is played on a square grid, where each cell is either alive or dead. The initial pattern "evolves" from generation to generation according to a few very simple rules: live cells with less than 2 or more than 3 neighbors (including diagonals) die, while dead cells with exactly 3 neighbors come to life. The results can be surprising: Conway's Life has self-organizing qualities, exhibiting a number of recurring themes. In addition, Life patterns can be constructed that have computational abilities, even to the point of Turing-completeness.
<p>
GtkLife features a highly-optimized Life algorithm, a giant universe size (1 million x 1 million cells), a modern user interface, and a clickable sidebar of bundled patterns. Users can explore the included patterns, as well as draw on the grid and see what they come up with on their own. Facilities are provided for zooming, traversing the grid in various ways, cutting and pasting blocks of cells, and running patterns at adjustable speed.
<p>
GtkLife will read and write multiple file formats in use among Life enthusiasts, including the popular RLE format.
