Kingpin Client | games | 2059 | Kingpin Client | This port is very good. Now, I'm playing it quite often, and I havent found any big Bugs yet. But it is a quite slow on my computer (voodoo 2 8mb, 192 MB RAM, 400 PII), that is why I not give it five stars. This game is excellent, and maybe it will be faster, keep working! | 1999-08-04 18:16:35 | 0

NetHack | games | 2061 | NetHack | One of my absolute favourite games ever, and I have played a FAR too many games. I have been playing Nethack and its predecessors for 10 years and I have only won twice. (And that was on an earlier, easier version!) Don't forget there's also a GNOME front-end for Nethack that looks pretty. Available somewhere at http://www.gnome.org | 1999-08-05 02:52:52 | 0
XShipWars | games | 2064 | XShipWars | This game rocks. The graphics are excelant as are the sounds. The install was easy, following the directions from the site. It would be nice if there was an RPM. The one and only complaint I haveis the sounds server. I would sugjest adding compaibility with ESD from Gnome. I know there are people who don't use Gnome, and I'm not saying makeing the game Gnome compliant, but useing there sounds system would be a major plus!! Download and give it a try -- Justin | 1999-08-05 12:46:25 | 0
URBAN | games | 1993 | URBAN | Funny little game to get off that agression. Installed fine on a first try, I even was playing it while downloading the sounds. | 1999-08-05 16:00:57 | 0
ClanBomber | games | 971 | ClanBomber | It's pretty but slow and not nearly as fun as (say) XBlast. Two huge improvements would be to limit players so that they can't end up halfway on a square (this helps navigate) and to not allow players to fall 'off the edge' -- only penalize them if they stand on a square while it vanishes. In addition, this game just needs a lot more gameplay tweaks (more bonuses, brighter enemies, more bonuses, network play, more bonuses, and I think probably adding a few more bonuses and powerups would be good.) I also would like to see larger, scrolling levels [probably with longer time limits] and an automatic, random level-generator (think Worms :) ) All in all this is very pretty and promising but its version number is way too high. It needs a lot more time to mature, which is why I only gave it 3 stars. Daniel | 1999-08-05 17:11:49 | 0
Columns | games | 810 | Columns | Aaarrrggghhhh!!!! There are now SIXTEEN tetris-like or tetris-clone games on Linux Game Tome. Doesn't ANYONE have any originality anymore? | 1999-08-05 17:15:40 | 0
ClanBomber | games | -1 | ClanBomber | ClanBomer is meant as a multiplayer game. We think it is fun to play with three our four players. The AI players are too stupid but they are only for testing the game. You should really play with human players. The game is not slow when using fbdev. The timelLimit can be choosen. | 1999-08-05 17:41:49 | 0
