Anyway I had much more luck with Bochs to get Dos stuff up and running. Havn't tried Dosbox yet, but I can understand people who don't see Dosemu as the solutions for all there 'running old Dos games' problems. | 2003-05-15 02:43:54 | 9914 |

| 11361 | Eternal Lands | games | -1 | Re: promising but... | Sorry for that, but you also have to understand that I explained many times, on the forums, why it is not possible (yet) to add a running feature. After explaining it for like 5 times, I do tend to get frustrated when everyone asks the same question. Perhaps I should put it in the FAQ. As for the slowness of the movement, this is something more like a preference. Some people do like it as it is, some would want it two times faster, etc. It is also a problem of gameplay. For example, if you will be able to run, later on, then it would be too easy to level up, and we do not want people to level up very easely. As for the fact that not everyone has an X86 CPU, this is a valid point, but, so far, no one complained about the fact that they have some other CPU and they can't play. If that would be the case, I would do my best to provide them with a binary for their CPU. But anyway, for the time being, the game works only on little endian CPUs anyway. | 2003-05-15 09:39:09 | 11355 |

| 11364 | Orbz | games | -1 | Re: linux/win/MacOSX | All the library are statically linked to avoid the assle of finding the good packages and of updating a system to play a game, hence the size. It is a very common thing under linux for commercial games. | 2003-05-15 13:33:51 | 10785 |
| 11367 | NVIDIA Linux Display Driver | games | -1 | Re: I appreciate it | Europe here: Americans think that they make the best products of the world, but as far what I've seen in the research-labs in america, you can conclude a) Americans put more money and hardware to the project, b) Americans think they make the best products of the world, while they do the thinks not innovative but straitforward and c) Americans are the best in marketing of the world. a is a result of c and b is it what is the typical "American attitude", which actually is based on c. Americans, please! If you want to make real money, just sell the non-American products in the USA! Your market is so pro-american, it's not funny anymore. | 2003-05-15 18:09:37 | 10920 |
