| 11309 | Marble Blast | games | 7180 | unplayable under 1.2 GHz !!! :-((( | while the game is waiting it gets all power of the CPU - no mouse-movement possible! Seems to be very badly programmed - BASIC ? ;-) - game deleted. | 2003-05-13 07:52:42 | 0 |
| 11310 | 3699 | news | -1 | Re: nice | It should also support transparency/alpha blending during animations. It should give you way to easily create and manipulate tilesets and series of sprites. It should have a decently working grid (gimp's grid sucks).

One feature I haven't seen since the amiga days (~1992) is averaging between 2 sprites of animation. Say, your character moves his arm from in front of him to the top of his head (straight up), with a little tweaking, it would draw an arm at 45 degrees with a good ammount of details. You can then retouch it and be done with it. It was amazingly good and could do very limited skelettal animation. It could really help you to crank up animations quickly with a lot of details, as you dont have to redraw everything from scratch, just fix what you don't like. It also supported (still very limited) motion blur. If it was possible on an amiga in 1992, imagine what could be done today... | 2003-05-13 11:02:46 | 11300 |
| 11311 | DOSbox | games | -1 | Re: DOSbox | I also am really confused by this. Years ago I used dosemu for tons of games.. It played Duke Nukem 3d and Wacky wheels perfectly. It was under heavy development for a long time and has a lot more features for games and regular applications than this program. This program can't do that and yet it claims to have exceeded dosemu? What a load of bull. | 2003-05-13 11:29:17 | 9914 |
| 11312 | ScummVM | games | 7127 | A quality game interpreter rewrite! | There's FreeSCI and Sarien out there, and they rock, but they just won't run the Sam&Max, Day of the Tentacle, or Monkey Island games..

I feel like I could....like I could...........TAKE ON THE WORLD! | 2003-05-13 12:36:49 | 0 |
| 11313 | ScummVM | games | 6051 | This is awesome! | Who needs the latest 3d mega FX ultra super GTS card.... The old Monkey Island series 1-3 put the latest generation of games to shame.... Its not about the how photorealistic the gfx are, and whether it has the latest surround sound... its about design and style.... Good work guys... you have brought me very very close to getting rid of my Windoze partition... | 2003-05-13 12:48:30 | 0 |
